“Burn baby burn.” The song lyrics crept into my mind and became as dangerous as “This is the song that never ends.”
Out of the corner of my eye I notice Chipotle.
To my left in the driver’s seat sits my mom, who is the most gullible person I know. (Once Ryan and I got her to believe that he had a roommate, Steve, who had no arms or legs. Ryan was kind enough to help him up and down stairs everyday. Steve swam by moving his shoulders back and forth as quickly as possible.)
I’m not kidding people; this woman trusts anyone to tell her the truth.
Anyways, while driving passed Chipotle, I decided to “test” her music skills.
Me: “Burn baby burn, it’s going to burn! Burn baby burn!”
My mom gives me ‘the’ sideways glance; the one she always gives me when I burst into song.
Me: “You know how they came up with that song, right?”
Gullible mama: “Nope. I don’t.”
At this point she was probably glad I took a pause from singing.
Me: “Well they were inspired by Chipolte. Just think about the lyrics: Burn baby burn. They had one too many burritos with Tomatillo-Red Chili Salsa.”
Gullible mama: “Wow! That’s really interesting!”
Me: “BAH! Are you serious?! You seriously believed me?! OMGIMSOFUNNYANDANNOYING.”
She can’t wait until I move to California. Thank you “Disco Inferno” for being my inspiration: Disco Inferno
